'Buah Bukat'

Yes! Its yellow, its small and its DURIAN!! This is a 'wild' species of durian found in Sarawak.

In Sarawak, this durian is known as Buah Bukat ((not so sure about the correct spelling). The funny thing about this fruit is that doesn't taste like a durian.

The skin of a ripe fruit is Yellow in colour and is kind of soft. You can open the fruit with just even a KEY! As you can see from the pictures, the flesh is orange or sometimes orange-yellow in colour and taste sweet (hmm... and a bit sour). The texture is very close to Jackfruit. I'm saying this because you can 'peel' the flesh and its not sticky at all. You will be surprise that eating durian can be so tidy and your fingers are absolutely CLEAN (nothing sticking on your fingers). That's why my WuaWa likes 'Buah Bukat' so much. :P
